Why this month Want to avoid that hot, sticky humidity and sudden down pours? Then this month sees both decrease significantly and the weather stay consistently dry. You’ll also just miss the festive peak season from December to January, when the prices rise dramatically, as do the number of visitors. One thing not to miss this month, however, is the truly spectacular and magical annual Lantern festival (Loy Krathong) that takes place on the night of 12th moon every year, when decorated lanterns are released onto the water, and glowing ones into the sky.
